The team’s research compared claims rates against Ob/Gyn clinicians both before and after receiving simulation training in order to determine the efficacy of this training. The study used a sample of 292 clinicians, all insured by the same malpractice insurer, who attended one or more simulation training between 2002 and 2019. The study found that simulation training significantly reduced the rates of malpractice claims, and that further simulation training for these clinicians should be considered.
