Electronic Health Records Can Increase Malpractice Risks

This article shares an example of how TDC analyzed its medical malpractice claims data that involved an electronic health record (EHR) to identify the risk vulnerabilities associated with EHRs. Using CRICO’s taxonomy enables organizations like TDC to leverage their malpractice data to identify clinical risks and prioritize their patient safety agendas. With a better understanding of where the risks are with EHRs, TDC offers tips to help clinicians avoid EHR errors.
