Advancing Patient Safety in Cataract Surgery: A Betsy Lehman Center Report
May 16, 2016
This patient-safety report on the rising risks in cataract surgery, just released by the Betsy Lehman Center, shares valuable information which a panel of experts gleaned from CRICO Strategies’ Comparative Benchmarking System’s (CBS) national claims database, and other sources.
The goal of the Center’s initiative was to learn as much as possible about the risks from available data and literature, increase awareness of common safety risks, and trigger the implementation of evidence-based best practices to reduce the risk of patient harm at all Massachusetts cataract surgery facilities.
