Improving Diagnosis In Danish Healthcare

The Danish Society for Patient Safety and Danish Patient Compensation Association (DPCA) wrote, “Our tool was translated and adapted from a tool originally designed by the American organization CRICO (...) to analyze and learn from malpractice claims.” For this study, more than 200 diagnostic-error related cases were selected from the DPCA’s records to be audited by medical experts. The tool enabled researchers to identify and analyze contributing factors that could help improve diagnostic safety and prevent errors.
