Online Courses

The Virtual Visit: A Conversation about then….now…and what lies ahead

The online course is based on a recorded webinar that describes the telehealth taxonomy, the impact of the pandemic on increase in virtual visits, the impact of bringing the doctors’ office to the home. We include a review of the benefits, challenges, patient and provider risks as well as the emerging new technologies to support virtual care. Get at least 4 out of 5 answers correct and complete the evaluation to receive 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. ™

The Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine has endorsed each complete issue of Insights or 30-minutes of podcast episodes as suitable for 0.5 hours of Risk Management Category 1 Study in Massachusetts. You should keep track of these credits the same way you track your Category 2 credits.

  • Podcasts: Combine for 30-minutes of continuous learning and download to your computer, read as a transcription, or access through iTunes.
  • Are You Safe? case studies: This specific case study type is suitable for 0.25 AMA PRA Category 2 Credit™. This activity has been designed to be suitable for .25 hours of Risk Management Study in Massachusetts. Risk Management Study is self-claimed.
  • CME Bundles: Content from the approved publications, but in email-trackable, 30 minute packages. You are given an option to send yourself an email reminder of this content and serve as documentation for your CME credits. 
  • Insight Each issue of Insight explores a facet of patient safety: the medical malpractice experience—both personal and in aggregate data—and strategies for mitigating risk to both providers and patients.

Risk Reduction Tests

Tests contain questions drawn from CRICO’s decision support tools. You must score at least 85% and complete the evaluation to receive the allotted AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™ on these tests.

  • Breast Care Management Algorithm Test: get 17 of 20 answers correct and complete the evaluation to receive 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™ .
  • Colorectal Cancer Decision Support Tests: get 17 of 20 answers correct and complete the evaluation to receive 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™ .
